cognitive conundrum: Brintellix/Latuda

Posted by porkpiehat on August 6, 2014, at 21:41:01

Probably as much as mood and anxiety, I am worried about cognitive effects in the right medication. Reading, writing, memory, concentrating, driving, etc. have improved markedly on some meds and really dipped on others.

Latuda, buspar, and Brintellix seemed to really help, while celexa and lamictal can make it worse, depending on dosage.

I moved from Brintellix to Viibryd lately hoping to keep some of that good stuff (brintellix made me very apathetic) but it's not really cutting it for anxiety and concentration/intelligence. I fog out really quickly in the afternoons and I'm taking pre-med classes so I'm worried about this.

Adding buspar to Viibryd made me even more irritable. Stims keep me awake but leave me edgy in a way I didn't get on Brintellix (which went so well with stims).

I'm thinking of augmenting with Brintellix or Latuda. In addition to my regular lamictal. Does this sound like voodoo and super-tinkering. Is anyone doing this?

This is the end of the thread.
