Ok, I am having a very hard time with Fetzima. My doc suggested it because of my lethargy, a motivation, and residual depression from 20+ years on SSRI's mostly Prozac. I've been struggling for 6 weeks with the dosages. I started at 20 and then upped to 40. Whoa! I felt very angry, not depressed though. So my doc backed it down to 20 mgs/day. I do feel it has given me a boost in terms of energy and getting things done, but I feel angry at the same time. To think I was supposed to increase to 80mgs! I would be insane with rage. I'm starting to think any benefit of increased motivation are not worth the constant irritated, angry feeling. Anybody else with Fetzima experience?

Guess what the first thing that pops into my head when I think I of Fetzima? Anger.
I was talking about Fetzima and she said she heard the same thing and has no written no one script for it as of yet.
The increased energy and lack of depression
What other medications do you take? Have you considered augmenting with an atypical antipsychotic or a mood stabilizer?
I think if you were you raise the dosage again, you could consider raising it along with some lorazepam.

I am just surprised that the dosage range goes up to 120mgs. I can't even tolerate 20mgs. At 40 mgs. I wanted to crawl out of my skin, and felt very aggressive. I have tried most of the atypicals and had the most initial response to Saphris. Perhaps, I may give that a try again. The benefits I have seen from Fetzima so far are better concentration and increased energy but even this is not worth feeling cranky and angry all the time. Thanks for your feedback. Currently, the only other med I take is Lithium 450 mgs/day.
