Sigh. Changing Pdocs once again.

Posted by Partlycloudy on March 21, 2014, at 15:03:00

My exclusive pdoc, who is only available Tues, Weds and Thurs, 11AM to 4PM with an hour off for lunch, has raised her rate to $250 an hour. Her front desk person is atrocious.
Even when you to avoid the incompetency of insurance, it's bad.

I have an intake appointment scheduled with a new doctor, and it's in May. Good thing I'm stable. Guffaw. I don't think a med overhaul is needed as much as a doctor who can refill my prescriptions and see me when I am in crisis. Oh, and won't bankrupt me. Obviously, a lot to ask.

Whine, whine, whine.

That's all mine is. Only one that takes medicaire & my supplemental here. He could care less what I take. He says "hummm" you are still here. What meds need refills that's it 10 minutes at best. Phillipa

Wow. Is that normal in America?

Only for a greedy doctor who refuses all insurance plans. No, her rates are extraordinary. Part of them,I can see, are based upon her office location, office decor, and her personal dress code. Oh, and she likes to pout and give hugs to show compassion at the start of a session.

There is no excuse for pouting, ever!

Isn't that just stupid? "Yes, I'd like to pay extra for my pdoc to pout sympathetically when I start a session."

Call it Caveat Emptor.

Haha. Would be better to pay less, avoid the pout and receive a nice smile instead!

That would suit me to the ground.

$250? For just a regular visit - not a consultation or anything? Outrageous. My p-doc charges $75 for a half-hour med visit and $150 for a 50-minute, med + therapy visit. I know he is on the low side - he's semi-retired, well-set financially -- but still. $250? Who can afford it?

Ugh. I'm sorry; finding a good doctor you can trust is so hard sometimes. Believe me, I know. Good luck!

Not me. Good Pdocs are notoriously hard to find where I live, and I believe she has been taking advantage of that.

My pdoc is $207 per hr. If I pay entire bill, she gives me 20% discount

Hugs and pouting? Oh yikes.

My new pdoc charges $250 an hour, and where I live, the place swarms with pdocs that charge the same.

Hope it goes well.
