best ssri before sleep

most ssri's are taken in the morning what are the best to take at night to help with sleep

Honestly after reading the article posted above. Why if you are anxious and cant sleep take a med for depression. Just take a benzo. Trying to get off all the SSRI's still got 25mg luvox & .25mg of luvox. Upping the benzos at night none during day and sleeping better. Phillipa

Are you talking SSRI or antidepressant in general?

Pretty much all SSRI's can interfere with sleep.

However, luvox is probably the one most safely taken before bed.

its a 5ht1a agonist, which can be sedating.

Why not take the SSRI that works best for you in the morning, and somthing else at bedtime to aid sleep (low dose doxepin for example, 10-25mg half an hour before bedtime)
