And what is that? You do not seem to experience much benefit from anything you take.

What did you find so obviously wrong with it?

That it's not really a study. A small sample on a large variety of different products.

I don't feel nice, just realistic.

Well good luck, because the people on this board will notice a difference on your behalf even if you don't.

What might you offer to prove your point?

Oh. I forgot to ask you what your point was.

My point was that the pubmed link didn't prove anything. I guess your body just wasn't absorbing any lamotrigine whatsoever from the Mylan product. Only mere mortals can feel worse due to reasons other than medication changes.

No, you are definitely not being nice.

Realistic? I guess that depends on who you talk to.

No, Ed. What is your point overall? You seem to be passionate about this. What is it that you are trying to defend?

It is completely pointless trying to say anything here.

You are trying to defend something. You have always had a leaning towards the concept that generics are equivalent to original product. Am I wrong in having this impression?

I can't help being right all the time. Once, I thought I was wrong, but it turned out that I was mistaken.

Is it true that generic drugs are not tested clinically?

I believe that any differences are hugely exaggerated. People on this board spend a great deal of time talking about it and causing anxiety. Every negative event which happens on the generic is attributed to being on the generic.

Yes, they are tested for bioavailability, except some generics are actually the same product as the brand, and do not require any testing. For example, Winthrop's alfuzosin is exactly the same product as Sanofi's Xatral.

No. I asked if they are tested CLINICALLY.

Okay. What leads you to this conclusion?

I've read it. For a start, most people on this board, including you, do not have epilepsy. Secondly, what would happen if people were switched from a generic to a brand? Would they get better or worse?

Is bioavailability the same as a clinical effect?

No.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/clinical

There is no observational study of how these generic drugs affect real people.

I guess you absorb the drug, the same drug, in the same amount, but as if by magic it doesn't work.
