I didn't say that. An unstable epileptic patient could remain on the same manufacturer's generic, instead of the same manufacturer's brand.

Hmm, but how do you know you weren't spontaneously worse when taking the Mylan product? Even if the bioavailability is not quite the same as Lamictal, it will only be marginally different. Changes in mood are often independent of medication.

I guess that only happens to the rest of us.

No, not a all. Virtually everyone with mental health problems gets better and worse and then better and worse.

I see nothing funny about any of this.

I think most of us would like generic drugs to be equally functional as the original products.

I can't be bothered to explain why I was able to take 500 mg of Mylan lamotrigine without receiving benefit or experiencing side effects. Excipients perhaps? If I took 500 mg of GSK Lamictal, I wouldn't be able to remember my own name. Teva was better, but inadequate at 200 mg. Upon my return to Lamictal 200 mg, I was able to recapture its antidepressant effect within 48 hours. My doctor is not the only one to see defects in generic lamotrigine.

That is not a very impressive study, but thanks for posting, it sure makes it feel very scientific.

And what is that? You do not seem to experience much benefit from anything you take.

That it's not really a study. A small sample on a large variety of different products.

I don't feel nice, just realistic.

What might you offer to prove your point?

My point was that the pubmed link didn't prove anything. I guess your body just wasn't absorbing any lamotrigine whatsoever from the Mylan product. Only mere mortals can feel worse due to reasons other than medication changes.

No, you are definitely not being nice.

Realistic? I guess that depends on who you talk to.

No, Ed. What is your point overall? You seem to be passionate about this. What is it that you are trying to defend?
