I'm switching tomorrow. Do I need a washout period. I can't find any online info about it. I know Ritailn has a very short half life but do I still need a day or 2 inbetween?
Also I do know people take stims with bupropion (W or Z) is it dangerous to cross taper or just ditch the ritalin and head straight onto W/Z?

I would think that would be a question for your doctor. Different docs have different methods. Not that I've taken an add med but all others have always been just switch from one to another. Now we are talking ad's and benzos. Phillipa

Methylphenidate will have been eliminated within 24 hours, so I'd just leave it for one day, then start Wellbutrin. I'm not saying that there's an interaction, but I think it's best to be cautious when starting a new medication.

Sorry Weatherfreak. I just always ask people to make sure they check with their docs first. We give experiences but also ulitmately the doc is the one to ask IMHO Phillipa
