Yes, maybe I'll go on a hike to Moscow tomorrow. The sun should be out. Gotta watch out for the bears though.

Kindly do not post offensive, uneducated, and anti-semetic posts here.

I combined 12.5 of agomelatine with 75 of venlafaxine (SNRI). Within 2 days I was hypomanic, and I have never had any hypomania ever before with any drug or combination. I had not been diagnosed bipolar. I have now gone off venlafaxine and am starting agomelatine on its own with a mood stabiliser. Just thought you should be aware of that before combining...

Thanks for the idea!!!

Anything that is capable of making me manic is a blessing. I have been so areactive to previous treatments, that my doctors would be happy if I were to become manic because it is very easily controlled in me with Depakote. So, the thinking is that such a strategy would leave me euthymic.

After reading this, I might be disinclined to interact with you. My grandparents were Polish, pale, famished Jews.

Is there anything you would like to add to your comments?

Would you prefer that I not offer you feedback in the future? I am still willing.

I thought the Carpathians were extinct.
Maybe i'm thinking about something else. I thought they were like the knights templar or something.

It sure sounded like it to me. You may have intended it to be a joke, but some things just aren't funny.

(BTW, my grandparents were Polish Jews who got out of Poland just in time.)

I cannot know what is in your mind or in your heart.

I doubt it would be productive for us to discuss this any more.

I feel like my digressions have kicked this off. The view east from Western Europe may be a little different to the view from New York. Denmark was the only European country to save its Jewish population. The Carpathians will not become extinct any time soon.

Just started Valdoxan last night. Slept fairly well, woke up a few times but went back to sleep easily. I just stopped my Lexapro dose which I brought down to 5 mg yesterday as well.
During the day I had experienced almost no side effects. A very pleasant surprise after so many hideous side effects with SSRI's or SSNI's.
I will update as I go.

I'm going to try agomelatine (added to my Parnate for severe treatment/refractory depression I've had for approx 30 years) in several weeks as I plan to order Valdoxan from Canada. I wouldn't mind ordering the less expensive agomelatine from Ukranian-Russian pharmacies but not sure if I'd get the real thing.

Just wondering about individuals experiences regarding liver enzyme tests; has everyone been getting a baseline test; any adverse elevations after a second liver test?

I'm a strong believer that many of us with various forms of depression have some type of overative brain, sleep malfunction and that's why so many respond at least partially to sleep deprivation.

It's time for new innovative drugs for depression. If all the available ones out there were the key to successful treatment for everyone, then all of us wouldn't be on psychobabble trying to figure out what to try next or why the current therapy hasn't produced complete remission.

I agree Scott. Don't let them medicalise happiness I say! I was happier than most people a lot of the time I was on Nardil I think and I adored being around people. I stopped because of weight gain and sexual malfunction. I thought I'd try Parnate instead. After 6 weeks up to 50mg/day and 50-75mg Nortriptyline in the evening, I may be responding regards depression. But It now has been replaced by panic attacks (non-respiratory sub-type) for which I take 2mg Xanax as needed. This really works for me and fast. The trouble is my Dr has put an upper daily limit of 4.5mg/day so I'll run out. Something else to worry about

I've been taking it for a week - IMHO it's great - was on Wellbutrin XL 300. I'm getting complete nights of sleep - and this nifty new feeling of 'centered inner peace and .... okayness' ?!

Not for me. I had LFTs before (long time before) and after 6 months or so. They were fine. I take milk thistle, FWIW.
