"Coenzyme Q10 and alpha-tocopherol protect against amitriptyline toxicity"

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would like to know about the concentrations / doses of amitriptyline used.

Thanks,

I assume it is just the abstract, though it does not state that.

What concentrations of in vitro exposure would be reflective of therapeutic levels? Values should be given as micromolar amounts to be able to compare.

Linkadge,

Not to hijack your thread but would this be applicable to Doxepin?

The reason I am asking is I may have to raise the dose temporarily due to severe rebound insomnia from tapering off of it. I haven't made a final decision as to what I am going to do but if god forbid, I have to do this, I want some protection.

Thanks as always for your help,

This is what I am wondering. Is this cytotoxicity at theraputic doses, or in overdose type situations.

I am too exhausted to find the links but I have seen co enzyme q10 listed as a supplement that should be taken if you are on tricylics. Haven't seen anything linking vitamin E.
