Currently need around two doses of neurontin at 1200 each for a total of 2400 to feel sociable so i can function and feel good at a party. Sometimes have gone up to 3600. Only use it a couple times a week.
Now I know lyrica is stronger so could anyone estimate how much i might need to get that nice lyrica social buzz that I have heard about.

First of all i recommend that you only take it 2 days a week as to not build up a tolerance to it. I would say initially 600mgs. wold give you that 'buzz' you are talking about...than you might have to take a higher dose to get the desired effect. Lyrica is WAY better than Neurontin in my opinion. I was on high dose neurontin for years and never really noticed any positive effects from it. Lyrica rocks, i encourage you to try it.

You could split the dose 300mgs AM, and 300 PM...but you won't get the buzz doing it like this. But, if your new to Lyrica, splitting the dose might not be a bad idea. Most Docs won't start you on this high of a dose..probably start you on about 2-300mgs. I have taken Lyrica megadoses and it feels great, but i now take it only as directed. I know someone who takes 25mg for anxiety heard that the high doses are very stimulating. Write me I'll tell you more. Phillipa ps my feet hurt.

I'm curious about Lyrica too. Can't take it now (with ECT) but am considering trying it at some point. I didn't find Neurontin very helpful at all but have heard Lyrica is good for anxiety. True?

> -CrotaleI've found that neurontin taken twice a week has an ad and anti-anxiety effect. After that I build a tolerance. So i keep it to two times. Since I've heard that lyrica is much better that has made me curious about it's effects. only thing is the sides are supposed to be much worse. Won't take any med that puts on weight.

On of the reasons you may need such high doses of neurontin to feel sociable is that the drug is not very stable or consistent as you go higher in the dose. My guess is that you'd need less Lyrica that Neurontin. Also higher doses are sedating, not stimulating.

I know you need less but I heard heard ratios of neurotin to lyrica potency varying from 1:4 to 1:10..Trying to gauge a good starting point.
