Nardil washout period. Zero appetite. Normal?

Posted by Girlnterrupted78 on June 22, 2008, at 2:58:04

I stopped taking Nardil almost 3 weeks ago due to the fact that (a) it was not working, and (b) it made me gain ~15lbs. It made me crave carbs and it also slowed my metabolism. That was just a terrible combo.

Anyway, I have already dropped some 4-6 pounds.

I am experiencing a weird side-effect, though.
I have zero appetite and I feel disgusted by most food. I actually feel disgusted in general. E.g. seeing a dirty spot in the bathroom makes me feel like throwing up. Thinking about food makes me disgusted as well.

So I could go the entire day without eating anything, but I eat just because I fear having no energy for my activities.

Is this something normal during the Nardil washout period? I just had never read of anything like this, and I've read a lot about Nardil, so it took me by surprise.

Any info would be appreciated.
