What the **** are these?

Posted by ronaldo on March 16, 2008, at 15:24:29

Can you please help me? I have got 2 small white round tablets, scored down the middle, C above the line and DA below. There is nothing on the other side of the tablet. I think they might be Diazepam 2 mg but I don't know.

You'll just have to take them to a pharmacist.... ;)

And there seem to be hundreds of "pill & capsule" identification orgs / websites out there & they all want you to pay a subscription fee from circa USD$40 / year.

So if your local pharmacy is no help, I suggest asking your local library to buy one of the books for you. Hmm...not a bad idea...!

So long as the book is produced in your area of the world & is recent, it should have the locally available generics in it.

http://www.identadrug.com/ lists some books that might be right for your area...?

As a "last resort" you could always go to your local police station with one pill & say you're concerned about your son / daughter / cousin 's drug use & found these tablets. I'm sure the cops will have a way to ID it fast & so long as you don't look too much like a "swallower" & the pills don't end up being backyard heroin or LSD, you should be fine..... :)

Good Luck :)

I would highly suggest taking it to a pharmacist and probably then disposing of it. Its not worth the risk unless you have the original jar, which by the question you don't.

Some of Dr. Reddy's pills have a C on it but have numbers also, but usually generics have an imprint on the other side, telling you the laboratory.

I also don't know what country you're in, so I can't but try US pictures.

Where did you find them? From memory you live in the UK. The generic 2mg diazepam tablets I used to get were yellowish and taste extremely bitter. I can't remember the markings though. I looked in my tablet identifier but couldn't find anything with a C and DA on it.

Thank you for all your help folks. I appreciate it. As there are only 2 of them I don't think I will bother with it any more. The best place for them seems to be down the loo. The wife does not know anything about them so they are not hers or if they are/were she is not bothered about it.

Maybe if they refuse to flush I will take them to the cops as suggested by Molybdenum. Perhaps they can identify them by taste. No sorry that is too horrible to contemplate. Forget I said it.
