disturbing images

I have been treated for SAD with Citalopram and Mirtazapine over a number of years. After coming of the drugs this spring I found myself being profoundly distrurbed by an image in the cover of a tech book, if you want to see the image:www.annoyances.org/exec/show/book_95
It really freaked me out. So much so that I had to oblitorate the image (I still use the book). Other images, not neccesarily pleasant but that would not normally have disturbed have had a similar effect (Biological images and close ups in particular) I now avoid looking at them. My shrink says that it is similar to PTSD in nature. Has any body else experienced this?

Well that is a bad picture, but I wouldn't personally tear it up.

I know what you may be experiencing though, as I personally had a psychotic break upon discontinuation of citalopram. It did go away. You may want to experiement with high doses of vitamin C, (ie 1000mg) for a few weeks, this is what helped me.
