I think the reference is to the cricket world cup, which was won by Australia. Alienatari I believe is from Australia.

Australia has this thing about sport.

It's very trying for some of us here.

Hello Alien

I've *heard* about the World Cup (and cricket too). I'm better informed about Kerry Packer's 1 day cricket that came in 20 years ago (maybe they're the same? I sometimes read the Business Pages).

You have no idea how much energy (A life's work!) I have put in to ignoring sport here. Some of my best experiences have come from doing those things that are only really acceptable if you are an allrounder, like joining choirs and being in Gilbert and Sullivan at school to get out of Rugby Union.

I grew up in a country school without grass and they wanted to do the tackling on the hard ground. Bugger that. I was the kind of boy who knitted my father bedsocks.

So how did the Australian cricket team behave?

Any sledging?
