Hello

Posted by c card on October 19, 2006, at 8:17:00

I've suffered from depression for many years and explored many therapies and medications, with limited success. I've recently started seeing a new doc and we're looking into a possible diagnosis of "soft" bipolar. I'm ramping up slowly on Lamictal (less than 2 weeks now). Any input about "soft" bipolar and/or Lamictal will be appreciated.

Welcome, c card! I'd suggest using Dr Bob's search engine (somewhere near the top-middle of your screen) to see what there already is here on the subject. And the main Psychobabble board is where you'll be able to post your questions about soft-bipolar and Lamictal. BTW I am on it, 300mg per day, along with Cymbalta for bipolar II.

Best of luck,
ClearSkies

I tried it and thought even at 50mg it might be helping but alas I developed an uncommon side effect excess salivation. Spitting all the time and I'm female unacceptable. But it is a fine med. Love Phillipa
