My Experience with Generic Effexor

Posted by vines123456 on October 11, 2006, at 22:48:06

I have been a big fan of this site for several years but rarely post until now. My doc just increased my Effexor to 300mg a day (150mg twice a day). When I picked up the perscription I noticed that I was given the generic version of the drug. I took it for 1 month and let me tell you that the taste is horrible! Kinda like letting an asprine set on your tongue for a while. Anyway, It made me feel like I was in a fog. Like I had a film over my eyes. I became very quite and kept to myself. It was just weird. I now have the real effexor and let me tell you that there is a difference. First of all there is no taste! I also noticed that things appeared clearer and I am more focused at work. I also seem to be in a better mood. Generic might be cheaper but I'd rather pay alittle extra for the real deal! Sherri

Just tell the pharmacist you want the real effexor and pay the difference I've done that with many meds for years. Love Phillipa
