Yeah, I feel very anxious and almost scared every morning upon waking. For no reason. It feels physical. It starts about 3:00 in the morning during my sleep. by 6:00 it is in full swing, whatever it is. I have had a zillion tests done to figure it out. No idea. I've tried my dosing of zyprexa anywhere from 3:00 in the afternoon to 9:00 at night and everywhere inbetween to see if it makes any difference, and it doesn't. I hate waking up with this trembling anxiety nervousness fear stuff.

I have been able to tame it down quite a bit by taking .25mg klonopin right when I go to bed. Whatever it is in my mind or body that gets fired up at 3:00 in the morning, the klono puts the brakes on it. I tried xanax but its halflife is too short and it didn't work. I tried xanax extended release and it didn't work. Klono works fairly well though.

I was on lexapro for a few months. It did not help my depression much, but it did completely shut down that morning anxiousness, beginning at about 1 to 2 weeks. Depakote did too.

On the natural side, you could try supplements of gaba and/or taurine and/or magnesium and/or valerian right when you go to bed.
