Hi.

> I have been taking tolvon for 3 days.

It takes a few weeks for these drugs to improve depression once you reach a therapeutic dosage.

How much are you taking now, and how much will you be taking in the future?

> As some guys mentioned here, is very
> sedating. Almost like Seroquel or more !!
> Anyway... I dont really care about it

This might wear off over time, especially once you increase the dosage. Tolvon is known for being very sedating.

> What I really care is that my fear is
> increasing tremendously !

In what way?

Was anxiety part of your original condition?

Sometimes, anxiety is one of the startup side effects of drugs. This can disappear over time. I am not familiar enough with Tolvon to comment on the frequency of increased anxiety of a side effect. However, this is not something that is often reported with Remeron. It is conceivable, though. Both drugs increase norepinephrine synthesis and release.

Hey Tep

Sorry your not feeling good

I think the advice offered by Larry H and SLS is very sensible
Remeron-Mirtazapine seems like a better first choice than Tovolon-Mianserin.

What I would like to say is that Mianserin is supposedly more Noradrenagic than Mirtazapine, although I haven't got any hard evidence to back this up!

Therefore its not suprising that some people get more agitated on Mianserin.
Perhapse your very sensative to Noradrenaline, and drugs that increase it cause increased anxiety.
Its worth noting that a few people experience increased anxiety on Mirtazapine, because of its effect on Noradrenaline.

Anyway my gut feeling is that you drop the Tolvon and try something else, perhapse less Noradrenagic, just a guess though, perhapse the anxiety will improve

Hi Tep

Tolvon has confusion, agitation, and hypomania as possible effects. Remeron/mirtazapine has rage.

How long do you think you'll stick it out?

Do you think Tolvon is making your fear worse?

Scott is right. When I took nortriptyline (which also increases norepinephrine) I got much more anxious. And nortriptyline is often prescribed to help anxiety.

Have you told your doctor about your increased anxiety? Do you have benzos you can take in the meantime?

Well , actually I suffer from social fear since I was 15. I am not taking medicines for depression, in this moment my main problem is fear. My Doctor is not focused on fear but on depression .

Thank you Scott

Ey guys, for those who mentioned that Tolvon
can cause anxiety because of his effects on
NE , I am feeling extremely ansious. More than
ever.

What should I do ??? is this gonna fade off?
I have my clonazepam that helps a little bit
but its not 100% effective
I take 0.5 mg. I donŽt want to go higher because
it depress me.

Another thing . When someone say something about
me, just for playing , for making a joke I got
very very angry.I dont do nothing, jut keep my anger inside me but sometimes I want to yell that person. I dont know if they do it with a bad intention. Anyway I dont like anybody to have fun on me.
I believe that is the root of my mental problem.
When I was a child, some older guys used to have fun on me, they were mean. Now im always aware that no one dare to do that again.
WOW I believe I have found the psychological trigger of my disease. This is important but now that I know what can I do ??? Therapy ????

IŽve been 6 days on Tolvon. Do you believe I should stay on Tolvon more time?

SALUDOS AMIGOS !!!

Hi Tepi

Tolvon and Remeron can cause anger as a side effect, especially if the dose is too high. I think you should reduce your dose to 15mg if you've got the 30mg tablets or 10mg if you've got the 10mg tablets.

SALUDOS!

Hi Tepi

With Remeron and Tolvon, anger can occur as a side effect if the dose is too high. Some people who get angry, agitated and restless on Tolvon can benefit from a lower dose. Did you reduce your dose?
