Anyone successful in finding altenative to Klonopin for SP or augmenting it with someting which reduces or eliminates the short-term memory impairment. I've been in meetings and then been asked about certain items mentioned, and I draw a complete blank. Embarrassing and not good for my career, especially when it's my boss who's talking to me about what he said.
While I've found Klonopin to be outstanding in treating my social phobia, when used in addition to another med (Nardil or Parnate), the side effect is pretty severe.
Many people refer to Klonopin as a "dumb drug." At first, I didn't understand why. After taking it for many years, I better understand. I just draw blanks on so much of my short-term memory.

Would piracetam and its relatives be useful? I've tried aniracetam and while it's a bit of a strain in full dose, I noticed that even a half dose led to more mental clarity (including short term memory improvement). I think I remember an abstract about piracetam reducing the amnesic effects of anticholinergics.
