Nardil...ATTN Chairman MAOI!

Posted by ace on July 13, 2005, at 23:33:07

Hey Chairman....

I really havent got much access to the drugs you recommended in a prior email...I can try when my doc gets back, but i'm not sure.

How is this idea....

Nardil...

+ Reboxetine....(boost levels of NE)
+ Amisulpride 50-100mg (boost levels of DA) -- i tried this before, didn't work, but i was only on 50mg for 6 weeks....

Then we only have serotonin and GABA to cover...I take Xanax (GABA), but I don't believe serotnin is a major player in that euphoric feeling....

Tell me what u think....

Ace,

I lost track of your progress. Can you bring me up to date?

Are you still taking Nardil; if so, how much?

Is it effective?

Any lasting side effects?

If you're no longer taking it, why did you discontinue?

Please include any other details that you think I should know.

Thanks Champ!

-- Ron

BP II and OCPD

600 mg/day Lithobid

900 mg/day Trileptal

50 mg/day Lamictal

2.5 mg/day Deprenyl (as tx for atypical depression)

Yes...60mg oned day...90mg the next....because I am going off Lamictal.

Oh yeah! Only when I am stupid enogh to use Tramadol (opiod), I have a night of unbelievable bliss and then 2 days of severe depression. So, NO MORE TRAMADOL. I have stopped and Nardil is working great again. Not euphoria, but just a very happy feeling. It makes me get excired at small things in life.

Constipation only one. I think I have developed Irritable bowel syndrome, so I might see my doc soon to address this. Also, weight gain.

Hi.

You said you had some weight gain. How much? Was it because you were hungrier and ate more? Or did you eat the same and still gain weight? (I have big issues with food and am scared of feeling that hungry all the time feeling.)

What about insomnia? Did you have any trouble falling asleep in the beginning? Did it pass?

Thanks,.

Marsha

5-10kg.

Was it because you were hungrier and ate more? Or did you eat the same and still gain weight?

Preety much I was hungrier, especially for chocolate!!!

(I have big issues with food and am scared of feeling that hungry all the time feeling.)

Nardil is worth it, regardless!!!

Thanks, Ace. The issue with the food is that I'm a recovering bulimic. When I tried to take Zyprexa, the hunger caused my bulimia to wake right up and seize me again. I'm afraid Nardil might do the same. Still, I've heard so many people talk about how well it worked, I guess it's worth trying. After all, it might not happen. I'm so glad you are still doing well.

Hey thanks!!

I can tell you that Nardil is no where nears as weight-gaining than Zyprexa....

Just watch the diet, and have self-control (unlike me!)

Cheers!

Ace
