why do they say Xanax is the most widely prescibed

Posted by rjlockhart98 on July 11, 2005, at 16:49:32

panic medication, b*llshit! (sorry)

my doctor only uses Clonazepam and Lorazepam, and has a Traxene poster on his wall. But hasnt mentioned it to me.

Clonazepam is a good anti-panic med.

Lorazepam is is not a good antipanic med, but is good for general tension, it doenst produce very noticeable effects. Even at 2mg, a little bit of decreased alertness, and eased tension in the abdonm.

My pdco was licenced in 1952. I cannot belive he is still alive. But he looks very well kept. He looks in his mid 60's. I belive he is in his 70's or even 80's!

Clonazepam is surely more prescribed than alprazolam. That is all propaganda crap from the companies.

I have Xanax xr, still we have to wait. I say ok. Lets stay what we have. I usally compromise fast, thats just me.

upjohn - stop making controversy

i dont take either Xanax Xr, i acciedetnly but i did.

no i dont.

I may ask my doctor soon about switching.

Klonopin takes a while to kick in, 10-15 during a panic, well it works when its peaking.

I have heard Valium is rapid acting, but wears off slow. Some atvantage.

if you've already reached the point of panic, xanax is much better than klonopin. i remember laying in bed one night talking myself through it telling myself "it will kick in, just hang in there" klonopin is great preventative. but if you get there, xanax is the best. thank god!
