Withdrawal or post stim anxiety/BP2?

Posted by theo on May 16, 2005, at 15:00:31

I currently did a Concerta trial (18mg for 20 days) with no anxiety problems while taking it, but since I've stopped, I've had this anxiety where I feel like I'm a nervous wreck. Could I have aggrevated some nerve endings? Every little thing bothers me and sometimes I feel like I need to go run till I'm exhausted to try to get rid of this horrible feeling. I've been hitting the gym had for relief but it's not helping. Even clothes touching my skin makes me want to come unglued, come out of my skin. I wish I had some Concerta left so I could take a dose and see if the symptoms go away, but I don't.

I don't know if it's withdrawal, (although it's been two weeks since I stopped) or med induced anxiety or even ADD fidgiting at its worse.

I'm currently trying Depakote ER 250mg. Could it be causing this? I remember my Topamax trial making my anxiety(OCD) worse.

Any input would be appreciated.

From past experience I would say this sounds like withdrawel. It's like a protracted rebound.

Call your Dr. if it doesn't let up. In a pinch benedryl can sometimes give a little relief.

Peace,
