I was just thinking as I responded to a Thread how different we all are. We all respond differently to the various medications. No one reacts exactly like anyone else. We're all so different. So, to start a discussion, what's you're favorite med. The one you feel has helped you the most. Mine is valium. Fondly, Phillipa

Well... I am so confused at this moment as to what is helping or hurting me that I am not sure what to type.
I tried Ativan at the hospital and it was nice.
Restoril sure is helping me sleep so right now, that would be my favorite.
I, personally hate being on meds- I was so proud of myself to never have to pick up a prescription... then BAM! Since Christmas I live on medication and see my doctor almost every week.

Ambien!! Amazing stuff. It is the only one in my cocktail that I know is working. I fall asleep soundly and all my problems are gone until morning. Sometimes I wish that I could take it around the clock and sleep all day...
I also know what you mean by one size does not fit all. My body takes incredibly high doses to get an effect. And most things are disappointing anyway. :( It is a pain.

1. Nardil (the best)
2. Xanax (great too)
3. Zyprexa (good for quite a bit of my OCD)
4. Seroquel (also good for quite a bit of my OCD)
5. Tramadol -- (produces euphoria, similar to Nardil before I screwed it up by starting/stopping)

prozac, i think. i had tried every other SSRI but celexa (but did lexapro), wellbutrin, effexor, remeron, and others before i came to prozac just recently. i can't separate what it's doing from everything else, but i feel so peaceful and content that my pdoc is worried about the unexplainable change.
a close second is adderall, even though it has also caused big problems.
