Anybody know if Neurontin has been known to cause weight gain? Also how long the sedation side-effect generally takes to wear off....Thanks

Yes, Neurontin can cause weight gain. However, it seems to be based on dosage. The higher the dosage the more the probability for weight gain. The sedation tends to fade with time.

weight gain is listed as a possible SE. so is anorexia. but it is certainly possible. it killed my appetite completely but maybe that was the lamictal which makes me nauseous. (i'm only taking 50mg a day...)
had to quit because i was sleeping all day. neurontin that is.

For over 2 years N. made me want to eat like a pig. About 2 months ago this side effect went away. GO FIGURE!!!!!!!!!
