Hey folks..I have read that Axid (and I think Tagamat(sp?) are H2 blockers that prevent weight gain from Zyprexa. How about the ones you can easily get OTC here in Canada, like Zantac and Pepcid? If the mechanisms are the same...should work. no?
Thanks,
Jay

I know someone who is having great success using amantadine to prevent Zyprexa induced weight gain.

Hi Jay,
You may have seen the below thread at the time, and I didn't read all the way through it to know if this doctor answered many of people's questions in it. I saved it for if I go on something in the near future. In this first post his website address is given too, maybe you could try that as well as reading the thread. I get the idea he must have experience with psy meds and weight gain... Good luck!
This is the end of the thread.
