Why are weekends so hard?

Posted by vjw on March 28, 2004, at 21:22:28

I was finally starting to feel a little better, and then the weekend came. I had tons of stuff to do, but I watched TV in bed all weekend.

Why are they so hard?

Hi VJW,

I hear you. Weekends are rough and I don't know why. It's the million dollar question.

Probably has something to do with having more latitude to roll over and give in. The less firm, truly unavoidable demands, the more likely/possible. I feel better knowing you're out there -- I was just lamenting this myself in reference to my web surfing. The great indoors surely does nothing for all those good chemical reactions we could be unleashing in other environs either. Well, I'll try to go easy on myself for having done this if you will! Feel better. ;- )

Make sure that you wake up at the same time on weekends as you do on weekdays.

Ok, I'll try! I hear you about the web-surfing, too. If I can get out of bed, I'm usually on the computer as well.

Fell better, too.:)

Wellll, then definitely don't get a laptop, like I have! Then bed, TV and web surfing can all be combined!!!! Seriously, laptops are supposed to set a person free, but often I am only set free to switch positions, and take it to the most comfortable place in my apartment! Which enables me to stay on it hours (days?) longer than I would otherwise. See, we're certainly not alone in our inertia! : )

Now you guys got me thinking that laptop I have been eying might not be the best idea! I was thinking comfy bed, comfy pillow. Yet probably no sleep huh? LOL!

If I had a laptop, I'd never leave my bed!
