Nick-

Just wanted to see if you were still around and how you were doing on Lexapro. I'm starting to feel better now in my 9th week. Hope things are going well!

Hi Bluesfan,

I'm sorry to intrude on your conversation with Nicky, but I wanted to ask what dose you're at? Thanks! (It's great to hear the lex is working for you.)

K.

No problem....you aren't intruding! I'm currently at 10mg, and have been since December 19th. As early as a week ago I really thought I was going to need a dosage increase, but I'm finally starting to feel better with 10mg. I'm still a little sleepy throughout the day, and it is hard for me to get out of bed but I am feeling better. I felt like Lexapro lifted my depression within the first couple of weeks, but I was still having nagging violent thoughts. I have never been violent in my life (I have only been in one physical fight in my life in the 6th grade) so this was totally out of character for me. I still think I have the characteristics of OCD.......I tend to dwell on things a lot longer than any normal person should, but I'm hoping that Lexapro will continue to help. I've come such a long way with this drug and continued prayer and guidance from God. I went from not eating, not caring about anything and not wanting to get out of bed to feeling pretty normal again. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi bluesfan..
I am still here though not as much as I used to be..guess that is a good thing!
i am doing very well and am SO glad to hear that you are doing well too..im very very happy that you were patient with the lexapro and didnt push the panic button (no pun intended) and start switching meds as that can be a slippery slope...stay positive and take things day by day and you will continue to improve!!
