I heard today that some doctor's are reluctant to prescibe Strattera because it is "dangerous". I went nosing around the Internet to find out about these dangers and couldn't find much. Does anyone know anything about these supposed dangers?
Thanks
Tammy

The only substantial warning that I could come up with (in a quick search) is that it has a slight chance of increasing blood pressure, something that should be monitored if this is a concern. It seems remarkably safe although, of course, almost nothing is known about long-term effects (as with so many new meds). Just a guess, but some doctors may simply be uncomfortable with a med until it's been out for a while, and no major problems have emerged. This quite different from labeling it as "dangerous", though.
