Dr. Kramer: Sexual side effects

Posted by Phil on April 1, 2002, at 18:40:38

Dr. Kramer,

Will there ever be a time when AD's don't kill your sex life?

Are you hearing of more doctors prescibing Viagra for AD induced ED?

If you have a good answer for the first question, my follow-up would be...WHEN?

Thanks for being here,

Phil

Yes to both. Now that Prozac is off patent, Drug co's have some incentive to come out with new types and generations of AD's, and some of these in development, like Substance P and Neurokinin inhibitors, may be devoid of sexual side effects.
