Does anyone has experience with this dopaminergic drug? I recently ordered it on-line.

Hi Anna.

I know of someone who tried it. As I recall, he experienced no untoward effects. However, he didn't find it usefull enough to continue with. Of course, everyone is different.

Entacapone is an enzyme inhibitor that acts like an MAOI outside the nerve cell. The enzyme it inhibits is known as COMT (catechol-O-methyltransferase). COMT breaks down monoamine neurotransmitters outside the neuron within the synapse while MAO performs this function inside the neuron.

Good luck with it.

Hi Scott,

Do you know if I can combine it with Reboxetine and neuroleptic?
it says in drug description that it shouldn't be combined with dopamine or nonepinephrine.
I'm doing very bad for now and considering ECT.
