At what dosage did folks experience the weight loss side effect for Topamax? I have just started taking it. My pdoc wants to see if I experience appetite suppression at 75 mg. I wonder if this is too low (Of course he knows better -- he is an awesome doctor!).

I would say its probably too low, according to the Psychopharmacology Tips on Topiramate; usually a dose of 200 mg or more is needed for weight loss: http://www.dr-bob.org/tips/split/Topiramate.html

Also, did people notice the appetite suppressant effect immediately or did it take a few weeks?
