Help! Effexor withdrawl

Posted by Mis on May 29, 2001, at 18:02:52

I have been on Effexor xr for 1 year at 150 mg. I have been slowly trying to go off it. I went on 75 mg for 1 week, then onto 37.5 mg for 1 week. I started having withdrawls right from the first day of the 75 mg, ranging from dizziness, flu-like feeling, achy joints to the point I can hardly walk when I get up in the morning. This is my first "med free" day and I feel like a heroin addict!! Any advice on how long this will last or what would help would be greatly appreciated. BTW I had great success from Effexor xr.

Prozac should help.
But I'm told it won't last more than a few days anyway.
I SO HOPE it doesn't last more than a few days.
I've been totally off for 4 days and I'm still having muscle twitches and nausea and random nerve firings (like I got pinpricked but there's nothing there).
