Forrest Labs submitted this to the FDA in March I believe - It is supposed to be superior to Celexa.
Does anyone know if it has the sexual side effects and weight gain?

I never heard the name "Cipralex" but it may be the brand name for escitalopram (s isomer of citalopram). The hope is that it will be just as effective as Celexa but with less side effects. But I guess we will have to wait and see.

As I understand it, Cipralex (Escitalopram) is still undergoing Phase III Clinical Trials, but the findings look pretty good. A website I found showed findings released at a conference in Berlin. They say the weight gain as well as the sexual side effects have been virtually eliminated & the antidepressant capabilities have been enhanced to the poing that you only require a 10mg dose 1x per day. I say fabulous! Course the sexual side effects of Celexa have been minimized with 120mg Ginko 2x per day.
