out of cntrl going back to Remeron

I quit taking it because of the side effects, mainly wieght gain. Since I quit I have been getting drunk and have wrecked my car twice not to mention other things.
The doctor put me on a lousy 20 mg's of prozac for 4 weeks and Effexor XR for two and today I begged to come in to change my medication back to Remeron.
Have any other bipolars experienced better ctrl of thier lives on Remeron? I seemed to focus better and have the best ctrl over my actions with it in conjunction with Zyprexa and klonopin.
I don't know what to do but I do know that I want some kind of normalacy in my life after all these years of " Try this and now try this med."
Help.

Prozac + Effexor is a good combo, in which serotonin is boosted twice, norepinephrine is boosted twice, and dopamine boosted once (at 300 mg of Effexor or up). From the Tips:

This is having me rethink things considerably. I have two patients now who have discovered (a) a non-response with Prozac or (b) a response with side effects with high dose Effexor can turn into (c) a good response without side effects on Prozac *and* Effexor.

Thank You for your response. I am now on 15 mg's of Remeron and still on the effexor XR 37 to 75mg's next couple of days. We shall see. I think that I already feel relieved.
I had personal issues that finally came out.
