Mirapex: It seems to be helping me.

Posted by Bradley on January 27, 2001, at 9:53:08

My depression is atypical. I have tried just about every AD available in the US and worldwide. Even tried ECT. Parnate helps me 3 months a year then quits. I am somewhat encouraged by my early response to Mirapex. Trying to increase the daily dose but cant very quickly due to the nausea.
What has been others experience with Mirapex?

Hi Bradley,
Thanks for your post. I can relate to what you are saying. i've also tried many AD's in the last 6 years or so with very little success.
I've been taking Mirapex for several months along with risperdal and I feel incredibly good, something I never imagined would happen. I've had to deal with depression for over 10 years now.

Just a few questions for you if you do not mind, what is your dosage? how long has it been since you have been on it? how has it helped you?

Thanks, would love to hear your responses.

Best of health to you,
Nat

It's been about a week now, and I am doing better. My dose is .7 mg X 3 . As my body gets accustomed to Mirapex and hopefully the nausea decreases I can raise the dose a little. Before I add anything else to the Mirapex I would like to see how effective it is by itself. Thanks and good luck.

Bradley, where do you get Mirapex from ? I found it prohibitively expensive at farmaciacerati.it. I take it for four days now, 0.5 x 3, so far not sure if there is any effect.

Farmaciacerati is where I order Mirapex.

Is there a place to obtain it at a more reasonable price? Thanks.

Well, it's available in the US as an antiparkinsonian. If your doc will prescribe it for you for depr., you're lucky. I read if no response, it may be increased up to 5 mg day, that's gonna be a little bit expensive for me ...
