Hi,

Beentaking this 6 months for anxiety, seems to work. I live in UK.
Have noticed I get an irratation now after certain foods (mainly chocolate or milk) and have to keep taking antacids. Bloated, gas above waist, irritating feeling. Does anybody think this can be connected to tablets? Would appreciate comments. Thanks. Patricia

Patricia, Edronax or reboxetine isn't available yet here in the US unless you're involved in a trial or study. My experience is that most ADs cause constipation and many cause bloating and water retention. Taking vitamin C in high doses (3g/day) along with a fiber supplement seems to help. I'm interested to hear more about your experience with reboxetine. In particular, have you found it helpful with social anxiety? have you noticed an increase in energy and motivation? What kind of anxiety has it helped with?

Patricia,

I take Edronax. I have not noticed this side effect when taking Edronax (reboxetine). I also have not read of others ever experiencing this side effect. It isn't listed by the manufacturer as a possible side effect. But it doesn't list everything! Some people experience constipation at first. In general Edronax's side effects come on strong at first and fade or disappear with time. The fact that these side effects have come on so long after you started taking the medicine would make me think that the cause is something else.

I also would like to hear about your experience with Edronax. How it has helped you, especially with anxiety. Did you ever experience side effects with it?

DC,
Would you have any idea if this is the "new" experimental AD that has been advertised on the radio lately? They (whoever they are) are asking for volunteers with all types of depression to try out this new drug and I never seem to have a pencil and paper handy when the ad comes on and the old memory is not what it used to be. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, but I've heard that the ad is nation-wide.

Tx,
Greg
