Effexor Presentation - Thanks to All!

Posted by Cam W. on February 17, 2000, at 21:14:47

Did my presentation to the doctors & pharmacists of Peace River, Alberta. Went well. Those that showed up were impressed with the clinical insights of many people in this room. Your comments and experiences helped me to relay the good, the bad and the ugly of Effexor. Thanks again, it was much appreciated. *Big Bertha* I would have e-mailed you back to thank you personally, but my 4 year old wiped out all our e-mail trying to look at her Valentine Disney E-Cards - Sorry. Sincere Appreciation - Cam W.

Glad to hear this went well?

You always sound so knowledgeable about medications. Are you a psychiatrist or pharmacist?

Do you know if this drug Reboxitine is coming, or already in Canada?

Thanks Cam

Janice - I think reboxetine is a pure NRI (norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor), but don't hold me to that. It is available in Europe, but not in the U.S. or Canada. In Canada we don't even have mirtazapine (Remeron) yet. I really don't know much about the clinical aspects of either of these drugs, but others do. Sorry. By the way, I'm a phramacist. Sincerely Cam W.

In case the two of you haven't noticed Cam is in Medicine Hat or some such location in Alta. and Janice is in Calgary (unless you moved again) -- almost neighbours by babbleland proximities... ; )

Now out here in Lotus Land we are on a whole different planet...

dj - I live in Spruce Grove, a satellite community of Edmonton and Janice lives in U.S. Jr. (haha - no offence intended). My in-laws are from Calgary, so I do time there every now and then. I will probably never meet her because I am too scared to drive there anymore. Like in Vancouver, traffic lights are only a suggestion, other than that they have no pertinance to driving. Good, now if cornered, us Canucks can cower together in the trees until those attacking us have left. As they say during the Calgary Stampede - "Howdy Pardners!" - Cam W.

yes I'm still here in Calgary. When I jog, I sometimes see cayotes and elk - and did you know elks kill more people than bears, and I see those cayotes checking out my doggy - I'm never sure if there looking at her in terms of a dinner or romantically.

No offence taken Cam. I just moved here a few months ago. And if I really told you where I was from, you'd probably give me an even harder time. Janice

Well said and done, Cam

Cam-
What! A new twist on the "dog ate my homework"
excuse? However, it looks like she has the makings
of an editor! And ONLY 4!

I was most happy to help out an obviously caring
person, scholar, and gentleman/gentlewoman. And
who knows, perhaps someone exposed to your efforts
will develop the perfect med we have been seeking.
