Any reports - success, failure, so-so? In discussing your results, some specific questions that would be helpful to get feedback on include:
Do you have any co-morbid conditions like Depression or other anxieties? Are (were) you taking it solo or with something else? If so, what else?
What are (were) your primary SP symptoms (especially physical) and most difficult situations?
Any augmentation or potentiators? How long did it take to kick in (if it did), or how soon did you give up? Any poop-out problems?
Any other meds you can compare to for personal effectiveness? Have you tried any other MAOI's? How did moclobemide compare for Social Phobia effectiveness?

OK, here we go:-
Started taking moclobomide 7 weeks ago for social phobia. No positive results so far (no side effects either). I saw my psychiatrist only a few days ago and he said I should move upto 900mg and give it another 6 weeks. If after then there have been no effects he said I should augment it with Lithium.
As for co-morbid conditions - I also suffer from depression which is a sympton of the social phobia. I was originally tagged as "atypically depressed"
My primary symptons I guess are panic attacks which lead to avoidance of all social situations and consequently depression.
The only other meds I have tried are Prozac and Effexor (which date back to my earlier diagnosis of "atypical depression"). I also attend weekly psychotherapy sessions
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to bear all David. I'd be interested to know your story as well.
