lithium, celexa, klonopin and lupus meds

Posted by Tina on November 27, 1999, at 21:20:40

Anyone here bipolar with lupus?

I've been bipolar for sometime but now have had to throw lupus meds into the mix, specifically plaquinil. Also, ibuprofen temporarily (hopefully for the pain) and since I have a bleeding gastro tract from the NSAIDS I am taking Cyto something and Prilosec. I have already collapsed with anemia from the bleeding a little over a year ago so we are not taking chances this time.

It sounds like a lot of meds, but there really is no choice, so I am hoping I am not alone and someone can share their experience.

Thanks

Tina,

What else have you tried for the pain? Have you considered Ultram? What other meds (AD's etc...) are you taking?

Blessings,

The meds were my psych meds (3) and the treatment for the lupus.

I take ibuprofen for the pain.

The problem is I have a GI bleed and must be careful.

was looking for other people with bipolar AND lupus. Not fun, but survivable.
