Anyone know what tri-iodothyropropionic acid is?

This medication was prescribed by a US doctor but it is only attainable through mail order from Sweden. Anybody ever heard of this medication? It was perscribed to an elderly relative so I have no information from the doctor himself. He also failed to tell her exactly how to order it, only that it could be done through the net. I have yet to find it anywhere. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like a form of thyroid hormone to me. How is it supposedly administered? I'll try looking it up for you, but I expect to have as much luck as you did.....

I misspoke, it can be ordered from Switzerland and apparently Canada as well. Still haven't found anything on the net though.

Apparently the patient has been taking it for a decade but her original doctor is deceased and the new doc doesn't know how to get it. As far as her conditions go the only ones I'm aware of are severe arthritis and several hip replacements.
