Has there ever been any attempt to do an actual 'chat room' sort of thing among any of you? Being an internet novice, I wouldn't know how to set it up, but would definitely be interested in participating in a more back and forth discussion type thing sometimes, as opposed to all the 'post a question...wait' - 'post a comment...wait'(obviously, patience is NOT one of my virtues, if I have any at all...)

I have thought about this, and actually like not being in "chat" mode. This modality (board) facilitates some great writing, self expression. Chat rooms tend to be too fast paced and distracting. I think you could call it "noisy"--lots of people talking at the same time. Whereas here, it is more civilized.

I have to agree with you that a chat room might not work, particularly because I'm one of those people who has no *5-second delay* between brain and mouth (or typing fingers, as the case may be), so it's really a must that I re-read what I've written before posting it and try to make sure it will hopefully be taken the way I meant it and not accidentally confuse or offend!

I think I'd really like the idea of looking up at the top of this board and seeing two PsychoBabble links, though. Maybe "PsychoBabble Meds" and "PsychoBabble Discussions" or something? I'm sure some of the subject matter would overlap, but it might be kind of neat to have a more structured board for med Q & A's and another less formal board for "whatever."

Whaddya think? What kind of nightmare would that present for Dr. Bob?

Judy
