HAS ANYONE INFORMATION ABOUT TAKING EFFEXOR AND BEING PREGNANT?i can't discontinue effexor totally because of strong side-effects .i feel terrible.so,i started
taking it again and feels happy as before but i'd like to get information on how to discontinue effexor and
has someone had a baby with effexor?SUN

I'm not positively sure about this. But as far as I know Prozac is the only one approved for use during pregnancy. Taking Prozac before getting off the Effexor would make withdrawal much smoother. Prozac is sometimes used for that very purpose. You could use it to ease off Effexor and then either let the Prozac fizzle out or keep it. Prozacs long halflife gives it benefits that short halflife meds like effexor dont have. As far as I know it's the only safe one for pregnancy.
