I am in my forties but if I don't take the Paxil for a day or two they go away.

Cog- I've tried Paxil twice - both times bad hot flashes and sweats - I'm 52 but I fairly sure it wasn't hormonal and that it was the paxil. In the winter it wasn't so bad, come spring the hot flashes became unbareable, switched to celexa.
Good luck - Kate

>Cog- I experienced hot flashes while taking Paxil and I'm only 21, so it certaintly wasn't menopause. I've now switched to Zoloft but it yeilded no change. good luck

Please...GET OFF THE PAXIL...the hotflashes are just the beginning...withdrawal is HORRIBLE...but you need to do it...find another drug, but NOT in the Paxil family.

In response to the above - remember everybody else's experience are just that -THEIR'S. Do not take anybody's advice on what to do - Just for the record when I got weaned off Paxil I had absolutely no side effects - everyone is different!!! Talk to Doc 1st!!!

It's a sign that your serotonin levels are too
high. You need a lower dose of Paxil.
