I have been on Zoloft now for almost 3 years. It has done wonders for me. I have quit taking it for a period of time and found that I become depressed, irritable, tense and not one someone would want to be around for a very long time. My sex life with my husband has suffered but my husband is very understanding. Thank goodness. The sex is the only thing that suffers. Which is enough. I would rather feel sane and relaxed than worry about when my next orgasim is going to be. I hope it works for you. Good luck.

There are some possible ways to counteract the sexual side-effects of SSRIs. See the Psychoparm Tips section (access from top of main page).

Has anyone noticed any memory loss or just a general spaceynesswith Zoloft? I know it is a reported side effect for Celexa, but hadn't heard anything regarding Zoloft yet?

Thanks!

Yes, I think I did. I had difficulty concentrating, remembering the words I wanted to say, and other short-term emmory problems. It's a litttle difficult to say for sure that the Zoloft caused it, as I had another medical problem at the same time, but those symptoms stopped when I stopped the Zoloft.

In relation to stopping Zoloft; what was your process for discontinuing? I have been cutting back in 25% increments for the last month (50mg down to 12.5 mg, then to 0). I have noticed some dizziness, insomnia, but so far so good. Does it take @ 2 weeks to get it completely out of my system?

I just started taking Zoloft 50 mg 1 week ago. The side effects are anxiety, nausea and muscle burning at times. Can anyone tell me if they had similar symptoms and how long they lasted? Did you take anything for the anxiety and the insomnia. I am trying to wait this out, but it is diffecult. Thanks for your help
