Has anyone used Meridia as anti-depressant

Posted by Dandy on May 14, 1999, at 19:04:34

I have chronic depression and have been on Prozac, Paxil, Serzone, and now Celexa. I also have a weight issue. Since Meridia works like a SSRI, has anyone used it and does it work for depression. They say not to take with anti-depressants, but I wonder if it could be used alone for depression Thanks

I wondered this too. Got the drug insert and showed it to my shrink. Fat chance. I belong to Kaiser HMO and if it isn't on their formulary, forget it. I'm within driving distance of Tijuana, and am tempted to try it on my own, since I have run through most of the various antidepressants. If I do, I'll let you know.
