I have been on and off almost all AD's for the past 4 years. There have been a lot of partial responders which have been somewhat successfully treated with low doses of lithium in combination with the AD. One thing I have noticed is that I have one re-occuring symptom, anger. No explosive outburst in front of the family etc...,but real anger, for no reason. This has been occuring for 10 years or so. It seems to appear with no warning and can last several days or so. My wife is convinced that I act just like I have PMS. Question: Right now, I am taking Wellbutrin (300mg SR) a day and 600 mg of Lithium daily. I understand some of the heart meds ie. beta blockers can be used for this. Also, I have not utilized the MAOI's since my docs are somewhat reluctant to try. I could probably talk them into it. I would prefer to stay away from any thing that may make me sleepy, since I have found this to be a side effect to be dangerous while driving (part of my occupation).
Thanks in advance for anyone's advice.
Kindest Regards,
W. Suggs
