Try www.rxlist.com if you want to see the same information as shown in the PDR (Physicians Desk Reference). It's also good for looking up the brand name and generic name of drugs.

>>Ruth,
Go to Dr. Bob's Links and click on Depression Central-Dr. Ivan Goldberg's site. Lot's of info there, also.

Phil,

actually the Ruth that posted that question is a
different Ruth than me (who asked earlier how you
were doing). She usually uses a capital "R", and
i'll use a lower case "r", and add an E to the end,
so we don't get mixed up. Anyhow, I'm glad I
happened to read this post--Glad you're hanging in
there, that you're ok, I miss seeing your posts, and
your sense of humor, hope you're feeling better soon,
I'm thinking about you :-)

Ruth,

*I'm* glad I happened to read this post! I've been totally confused for a couple of days now wondering who is 'ruthE' and why are her writing style and words of kindness and compassion so familiar!

Duplicate names here can be confusing; and I'm still stressed over being 'duped' at the beginning of the month by someone using another's name.

I pasted the above (very beautiful words of encouragement from your sister) from another of your posts and wondered if you considered using the name "Roo" here (or is that too personal/special a name to use?) Just seems to fit my mental image of you better than plain ol' "ruthE."
Just a thought, with thanks for your much appreciated responses to me and everyone else.

Roo it is!! :-)

Judy--

Thanks for your post--I think I will start using
Roo. It might be confusing at first, but people
will catch on. I like it better too...I always
think of my sister going "ah roo...". And the
one time I swore my dog talked--it was so funny--
I was whining to my roomate about all my problems,
and my dog sighed, and I swear, said "ah roo!".
well maybe it was more like "barouu"....but me and
my roomie stopped mid-sentence and looked at each
other with our eyes wide and said "did you hear what
I heard?"....hee hee...

Anyways, I always love your posts too--I really like
this site a lot--so many smart, funny, compassionate
people! I used to have a bunch of different
forums bookmarked, but found that this one is just
head and shoulders above the rest, and now it's the
only one I bother with :-)

Roo!

I'm so pleased - it's so much more "you"! A nice birthday present for me (yes - today is a milestone for me - one that I never wanted to reach or even thought I would sometimes. Also the 2nd anniversary of my beloved Dad's sudden and very unexpected death from coronary aneurism - so there are some very mixed feelings here about this day!)

Anyway, I laughed out loud about your dog! Coincidence? Maybe not! (Dogs are very perceptive, you know!)

Thanks again for the lift, *Roo*! Took my first Marplan dose this morning (just as I am beginning to go into "lichen mode" again) and I'm hoping that will turn out to be a wonderful belated birthday gift in a couple of weeks.

Love this site too! We may all be depressed, pathetic people at times; but just reading all these posts makes me sure that we are, in some ways, better people for it!

Judy

happy birthday Judy :-)

Well Happy Birthday to you! Does that make you
a Cancer? I have a soft spot in my heart for that
particular zodiac sign...so warm and fuzzy they
are...cranky sometimes too, but in such a hilarious
delightful way.
Anyway, I really hope you have a good birthday. They
are always special to me, kind of a reflective time.
I guess even more so with you, thinking especially
about your dad on this day...
I also hope the Marplan works out for you..keep us
updated, I'm still searching too, just not at the
moment (need to take a break from the search!).

Roo - Not even sure why I felt the need to mention the birthday thing - but know that you made it a bit more special.

Yes, I sometimes call myself a Cancer on the A** of Society! A lot more cranky than warm and fuzzy (just ask my two daughters!) We Moon Children, on the best of days, are subject to tidal-like mood swings. Throw in severe depression and watch out!!!

Thanks, again - for like the 10th time today! - Judy

Yes, I agree with you judy and roo
