Problems posting?

Posted by Cass on July 7, 1999, at 9:27:48

Hi,

This isn't Cass, it's me, but she says she's having trouble starting a new thread, so I thought I'd try it under her name. Is anyone else having problems?

Bob

Bob,
I have no problem responding to an existing thread but if I attempt to start a new thread I get this Error maessage:

"Server Error
This server has encountered an internal error which prevents it from fulfilling your request. The most likely cause is a misconfiguration. Please ask the administrator to look for messages in the server's error log. "

Sometimes if I back up and try again it will post even with the error message--- but twice. I thought maybe it was just an "error message in error", and that it really posted the first time, but when I tried that and came back later to the site with a refreshed browser, the post did not appear. The last time this happened was June 30 at about 3:41pm. I only know this because I cut and pasted the error message and mailed it to myself so I would remember to email you about it later. Oops! I still forgot. Annie

Still no luck posting new threads/AD advice?

Hi Dr. Bob and everyone,

I am still unable to post new threads. I receive an error message saying I have not put in my name even though I have. Anyone else have this problem? To state the obvious, I have no trouble with follow-up threads. I need advice. I am going to see my Internist tomorrow about a new AD. Prozac has given up. He has me on Seroquel for anxiety (thanks for your feedback last month, JD, when I was able to post a new thread) and Ambien. Seroquel knocks me out, and in the day I feel drugged and irritable. I am diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and Depression. I think I may also have episodes of Derealization (thanks for the feedback, Levi). Does anyone have AD advice or advice about any other type of suitable medication?

Thanks,
Cass

Hello Cass. When Prozac gives out, there are two approaches that seem popular. First understand it is usually better to tweek something that has worked before switching completely. Psychiatrists often refer to Lithium as a Prozac turbocharger. Smaller doses, not the huge doses usually used for full blown mania. Also, Naltrexone 25mg shows lots of promise with Prozac in ending "poop-out", restoring the Prozac's effect even better than the first go-round, and allowing a smaller dose too. Both methods worth exploring. For more information of Naltrexone, look at posts in June, May and February from WAYNE. For some, Prozac/Naltrexone is a miracle. Hope it helps, jamie.

Rats. Well, let me try to track down what this is. Could you two try again to start a new thread to see what happens now?

That's great, to have a time to look for. But what time zone are you in? If you can remember what time it is when you try this again, that would be a help.

Sorry about the problems,

Bob

Hi Bob,

I'm in the West Coast time zone, and I tried to post a new thread at 12:40PM. I also tried to post under a different name with no luck.

Well, I did find one error message, at least. Give it another try? And let me know the time again? Thanks,

Bob

Bob, At 8:47am ET I attempted to post a new thread from the link on the listings page. I received no response twice. Maybe it will show up tho. At 8:51am ET, I posted from the link on the follow up page and it seems to have worked.
At least I got a message saying it was posted. Sorry for cluttering the board. Annie

It (they) did show up. It's possible your "no response" was what's described in:

http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#reload

If so, then we should be fixed. Assuming it works for Cass now, too...

Bob

Nope, not for me

Weird. OK, give it another try now. You're just clicking once (as opposed to double-clicking) on the Submit button, right?

Hi again Dr. Bob,

It's 4:40PM west coast. I tried again and very consciously single clicked. It didn't work.

OK, I think I did pick up something over here. Can you try again, so I can try to narrow down where the problem is? Thanks,

Bob

Hi Dr. Bob,

I tried again at aproximately 11:10 West Coast. I submitted it three times, and each time I got the "no name" error. I feel optimistic that you picked up something though.

Oh, that's right, I was still thinking it was a server error. Try it again now?

Hmm, it's not just not getting your name, it's not getting anything at all. Let me try something else. Now give it another try.
