I have been taking 30 mgs of Celexa for about a year. Up until about 6 weeks ago I was feeling fine. Now not so hot. Have tried increasing the dosage, but that seems only to make me more confused. I never had this problem of "poop out" with Prozac. Does anyone know if this is common with Celexa? Thanks.

I had the same thing happen (though I had not been on it as long as you've been when it happened), I started to feel depressed and get anxiety attacks. (BTW, I am and have been taking 40 mgs of Celexa a day) My doc put me on 30 mgs of BuSpar a day and kept my celexa at the same dose. It has worked wonders for me! Even during times of great stress, I can usually bounce back fairly quickly with this combination of drugs.
The other thought I have is regarding naltrexone (Revia) -- I know there are quite a few posts from Wayne R. on here regarding adding a small amount of this drug (normally used to treat alcoholism & addictions, now being investigated for use in treating depression in combination with SSRIs). If you have a sympathetic and open-minded doc, maybe you should get some more info regarding your particular case to see if that combination might help. It is said (though I have no first-hand knowledege of it, and naltrexone is not used at the clinic where I work) somtimes give near-miraculous boosts to SSRI poop-outs. Maybe scroll thru and read the stuff on it here.
In any case, good luck -- and I hope you will post your progress here!
:-) Shelley

Steve, I was looking through the thread and realized that I said I take 40mgs of Celexa when I actually take 60!
Synapse-lapse strikes again! *grin*
