If anyone has any experience taking these two together for ADHD/depression I would really appreciate it.

I am a mental health professional and this is only what I have observed and am not making a recommendation or declaring my observations as scientifically valid and reliable. SO- with that legal disclaimer out of the way here is my information:
I have had about five clients on that combo and all eventually stopped the Cylert and were placed on Ritalin with good response. One individual abused his Ritalin to the extent that it was discontinued. All five contiued with Wellbutrin and Ritalin with the exception of the individual who had to stop Ritalin because of abuse. Cylert takes several weeks to begin working, so hang in there. Keep your doctor updated on the effects of your medications. If they are not working, do not be reluctant to say so.

My experience has been the reverse of the the above.
ie. Had problems w/ Ritalin and switched to Cylert
& Wellbutran. Within the 1st mo. or so after the switch,
I noticed that I had read as many books in the
past mo.Than I had read in the past 3-5 years!
The combo has definately stabilized my life thus far.
I also heard the business about Cylert taking
a long time to be effective, but in my case
I noticed major improvement on the second day!
Another thing that I like about Cylert is that it
does not produce euphoria and it lasts far longer than
than Ritalin. Plus, it's a schedule IV drug
and doesn't require a triplicate script and
the doc can prescribe up to 5 refills per script
and can also call in refills via the phone.

I have taken both Wellbutrin and Cylert together for about a year. I was taken off Wellburtin in Jan/Feb of 1999 and put on Paxil instead. I have been taking Cylert for ADD for five years. I am 48 years old, female. I don't know what anyone wants to know but I would happy to share if will help anyone.

I have been on Cylert for a long time and it has worked well for me, with and without antidepresants. However I was put on wellbutrin and told to ween off of the Cylert with the idea that Wellbutrin would work for ADHD. It didn't. My world fell apart so I wint back on Cylert. Wellbutrin does not work for depression for me or a few other people I know. Please don't send me junck mail. Bonnie
